Festival de Navidad 2011 / Christmas Festival 2011
¡Hola chic@s!
Como ya sabéis, esta semana ha sido muy festiva y a su vez divertida. El lunes tuvo lugar el concurso de villancicos. Nosotros cantamos «Up on the Housetop» y … ¡quedamos en segundo lugar! Nos alegramos mucho cuando nos dieron la noticia… aunque sabemos que ¡lo importante es particicipar!
El miércoles celebramos el Festival de Navidad. Nos disfrazamos e hicimos una representación teatral en inglés sobre «The Good Thing About Christmas». Culminamos la actuación cantando en inglés… ¡fue toda una experiencia para nosotros hablar y cantar delante de tanto público! Ahora que sabemos que podemos hacerlo tan bien, esperamos ansiosos nuestra próxima representación.
Por último, pero no menos importante, queremos mandarles un beso a Lucas y otro a José Manuel. ¡Os echamos de menos en la actuación y esperamos que os mejoréis pronto!
¡Felíz Navidad y que todos vuestros deseos para el Año Nuevo se hagan realidad!
Hi guys!
As you already know, this has been a very busy and funny week! On Monday, we sang «Up on the Housetop» at the Christmas carol contest, and … we were second! We were very excited when we knew about it, although we know it’s just fun to take part!
On Wednesday, we celebrated our Christmas Festival at school. We dressed up for the occasion and did a theatrical performance in English! It was a great experience for us to speak and sing in front of so many people! Now that we know we can do it, we are looking forward t0 doing it again! And last, but not least, we want to give a big kiss to Lucas and José Manuel who were ill and missed the festival. We hope you get better soon!

Día Abierto SEK 2011 / Open Day at school
¡Buenas tardes a tod@s!
Ayer sábado fuimos al cole para disfrutar del día Abierto. Enseñamos las clases a nuestras familias , vieron algunos de nuestros trabajos y unas fotos narradas en la pizarra digital. Recogimos la carta y se la entregamos a los Reyes Magos, que nos esperaron en el pabellón y nos dieron muchas chuches.Pudimos ver una obra de teatro y la actuación de un mago muy divertido. Para concluir la jornada, ¡tomamos un chocolate con churros en el comedor!

Good evening everybody!
As an exception, we went to school yesterday to celebrate the Open Day. We showed our families the classrooms and all our work, as well as some photos on the digital board. We took our Christmas letters and handed them to the Three Wise Men who were waiting for us at the sports centre! Afterwards, we could enjoy the tricks of a magician and we had lots of fun. Then, we had some chocolate and sweets at the dining hall. We are looking forward to having another Open Day at school!

¡Hola de nuevo!
Acabamos de volver del teatro y nos hemos quedado sin palabras. Hemos visto un teatro de títeres protagonizado por Pinocho y sus amigos. Nos reímos un montón y nos involucramos tanto que… ¡hasta les dimos algunas pistas a los personajes!
¡Esperamos volver pronto y pasarlo así de bien!

Hello again!
We are back from the theatre and we are at a loss for words! We have just seen a puppet performance and we loved it! Pinoccio and his friends were so funny we could not stop laughing! We got so involved in the play that we even gave the characters some clues about where the devil was!
We hope to be back soon and have such a great time again!

Libros digitales en el aula
Los alumnos de segundo estamos aprendiendo a utilizar los libros digitales . Los nuevos libros son útiles para el desarrollo en el aula de los contenidos multimedia, con la reproducción del libro del alumno y la propuesta de actividades y recursos que nos facilitará la adquisición de competencias básicas.
Los utilizamos tanto de forma individual para el afianzamiento y ampliación de conceptos, como en grupo para dar solución a algunas de las actividades propuestas. Contamos también con todas las ventajas que nos ofrece la pizarra digital.
Una vez más, nos divertimos aprendiendo con las nuevas tecnologías a nuestro alcance.

Repasando preposiciones de forma divertida… / Revising prepositions while having fun…
¡Hola de nuevo!
Hoy hemos estado repasando las preposiciones de lugar con juegos y canciones que nos encantan! Hemos escondido la rana «Funny Frog» por la clase y hemos seguido instrucciones hasta encontrarla…¡nos lo han puesto difícil! Con el juego del «Veo, Veo…» hemos repasado vocabulario de la clase y hemos hecho preguntas en inglés. También hemos hecho un pequeño diálogo por parejas. ¡Nos estamos soltando y nos gusta hablar en inglés!

Welcome back!
We wanted to revise prepositions of place today and we decided to do it in a different way. We were playing some games and singing songs. The first game was «Hiding the Funny Frog». We hid the frog and had to follow our friends’ instructions to find it! It was hard to find it sometimes! Then, we played » I spy with my little eye» so we had to ask questions and revise classroom vocabulary.
